Horseback riding Baqueanos

The Los Baqueanos Complex is located within the Nahuel Huapi National Park , just 22 km. from the center of the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, on the southern edge of the shore of Lake Gutierrez. The place has 8 hectares of woodland with a beach 800 meters long. It has the option of riding half day or full day.

This tour starts from the city center at 15 hours, picking up all passengers at the place where they are staying. Upon arriving at the resort, we will be waiting them with a reception. The guide will be waiting in the stable, to take them to the horseback ride of 2 hours. The journey starts coasting along the shore of Lake Gutierrez, ascending the southern slope of Cerro Catedral to a lookout where you can see an excellent view of the lake and surrounding mountains. During the winter, ice waterfalls formed by low temperatures and lack of sun exposure in such walls can also is observed.

From this place, we will continue to enter into an aged and evergreen cypress forest. We continue our journey to reach an area where we find cave paintings, of about 500 years old. There the guide presents a brief history while the group takes a short break to start back. All the way you can enjoy streams, forests and lakes, this beautiful natural setting located in the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Upon returning to the resort we waited in our dining room overlooking the lake, to share a table with typical regional products, to enjoy an evening by a warm hearth fire sharing a delicious mulled wine. Meanwhile, our barbecue finished making asado. The dinner consists of roast beef, lamb and chorizo; and variety of salads. Struddel exquisite dessert or regional ice cream; and drink of choice, you can choose from beer, wine or soda.
